Stump Grinding
Stump removal involves the use of a grinding machine to efficiently and delicately eliminate stumps. Initially, the stump is ground into small, mulch-like pieces using a stump grinder. Once the stump has been reduced to just a few inches below the ground surface, the remaining portion is concealed with dirt and dust. Over a brief period, the concealed portion, along with the roots, undergoes natural decay, completing the removal process.

Steve grew up in Ohio before moving down to South Florida with his family as a teenager. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and getting married, Steve decided to join the landscaping industry by working at Stiles Corporation in the Landscaping department. He eventually worked his way up to become the Vice President. Wishing to start their own business, Steve and Sharon started DCLS back in 1998. Steve is in charge of all operations run by his team.

Conor Armstrong, an accomplished financial strategist, brings a wealth of experience to his role as Chief Financial Officer at Design & Cut Landscape Services, Inc. Prior to his pivotal role at DCLS, Conor honed his financial acumen during several years as a financial analyst at the esteemed Goldman Sachs. His tenure at this financial powerhouse equipped him with invaluable skills and insights that he now adeptly applies in his role as CFO. Conor’s expertise extends beyond traditional financial realms; he is also a certified arborist, holding the esteemed certification from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Meet Haley Armstrong, the Assistant Landscape Design Director at DCLS and a valued contributor to our team’s success. A graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Corporate Communications, Haley brings a unique combination of creativity, strategic insight, and vision to her role.
As an understudy of Steve Armstrong, a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the landscaping industry, Haley plays a pivotal role in refining our operations and is preparing to lead our residential landscape design division. To further enhance her expertise, she is pursuing advanced coursework in landscaping and horticulture at Cornell University. Her focus on sustainable design and innovative outdoor solutions ensures she is well-equipped to deliver transformative, eco-conscious residential landscapes.

Prior to leading our sales efforts, Gary founded a successful tennis academy, honing his entrepreneurial skills and fostering relationships with top-ranked players.
